Extra Ribbon left on Film Roller

The CIX900 printers use RFID tags on their ribbon or laminate rolls to help the printer know what type of film it’s using. This ensures you get the most cards printed from each roll. The RFID tag also tracks how much ribbon or laminate is left, so you can see how many more cards can be printed with the remaining material.

CIX900 ribbons and laminates have some extra material on the roll that cannot be used. This is because the film needs to be wound and taped onto the roll during production.
