Mechanical Error Light

If you are seeing a light display on the eye/printer icon on your Evolis printer, an mechanical error has occurred from either a card jam or a loose cleaning roller.

1. Turn the printer off > Remove ribbon and cards 

2. Pull the tabs to open the side panel

3. Check inside the printer to locate the card jam 

Images below will be the typical areas a card will jam inside a printer.

4. Check if the Cleaning Roller is in place 

5. When the jammed card is removed > Run cleaning on the printer

6. Insert the ribbon and cards back to the printer > Wait for Ready Status to display

7. Adjust the card gauge to 30 mil
