Resolve Ribbon Error


Adjust the Ribbon

1. Open the top cover and remove the ribbon


2. Straighten out the ribbon (right), ensure the panel is not crumpled




2a. If the panel is crumpled, roll the ribbon back to the next uncrumpled yellow panel


        If your ribbon is black, roll forward to the next uncrumpled section



3. Place the ribbon back into the printer, close the top cover. Give the printer a moment to detect the ribbon


Restart the Printer


1. Unplug both cables from the back of the printer


2. Wait 5-10 seconds and plug the printer in again. Wait for printer to finish startup  



Set Ribbon Type


1. Set Ribbon Type in the Evolis Print Center


        a. Open the Evolis Print Center app

        b. Double-click on your printer 

        c. The Properties window will open

        d. On the left, select Printing

        e. On the pop out, select Ribbon

        f. Check the box to Select the ribbon type

        g. Open the drop down and select the ribbon type                         

                    i. YMCKO for color ribbons

                    ii. Black monochrome ribbons

        h. Apply the change



Firmware Update

1. Update the printer firmware: Update Firmware
