System Setup Checklist with Installer Details

Prerequisites 

1. CIX900 Card Printer 

2. CI Solutions provided RFID Cards 

3. Internet Access 

4. Your PC meets the minimum OS requirements

Step 1: Driver Installation

1. Download the SOLID510_2024_02_16.zip package.

2. Extract the entire folder on your computer.

3. Inside the folder, double-click DDInstall.exe to launch the installer.

4. Proceed with the installation; when prompted by Windows Security, select the checkbox to trust the software and click Install.

5. Power on the printer and connect it via USB. Click Next to continue. 

6. Once installation is complete, restart your computer. After rebooting, the printer (named either "CIX900" or "IDP Solid 510") should appear under Devices and Printers. 
   
   

Step 2: Print Service Installation

1. After driver installation, locate and run the cis_printsvc_setup.zip  installer (found inside the cis_printsvc_package_build folder).

2. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.

3. Confirm that CI Print Service appears under Control Panel > Programs and Features

Step 3: Set USB Serial to Use

1. Navigate to Printers & scanners > [Your Printer] > Printer properties > Service > Config Printer
   1. If prompted to enter password, leave blank
   2. Requires ribbon to be installed

2. If prompted for a password, leave it blank.

3. Ensure the ribbon is installed before proceeding.

4. Click OK, then click ‘>’ to expand the configuration menu.

5. Select Use for USB Serial, then click Set Config.
   

6. Power cycle the CIX900 (turn it off, then on again) to apply the configuration.

Step 4: Reboot your computer and log in to Badge to confirm your set up
