Cleaning the Printer

Clients must routinely clean and ensure the CIX900 is dust-free and prints quality ID cards.

Required Items: Cleaning Card

Example of Cleaning Card

1. Take out the supplies (Card/Ribbon) and leave the top cover open 

2. Adjust the card thickness control lever to MAX 

3. Press and hold the Power and Menu button at the same time for 5 seconds until the cleaning process is initiated

4. Insert the cleaning card and close the top cover when instructed

5. Pull the cleaning card after the cleaning process is complete

6. Place the supplies (Cards/Ribbon) back to the printer and adjust the card thickness control lever back to the appropriate thickness 

The default card thickness should be at 0.8

If the incorrect thickness is selected, an error will occur during card printing. Ensure to adjust the control level to the correct card thickness before moving on. 

7. Print a card to test if printer is properly operating
