Here are three different ways to network Evolis Primacy Printers.
All Minimal Mode (Recommended)
Drivers on all computers must be installed as Minimal Mode. Computers will have access to settings, except cleaning option.
Pro: Computers will have full control of printer properties.
Con: Cleaning must be done through the manual bypass.
Minimal Mode
One Master Computer (The rest will require minimal mode)
One PC will require the Standard installation. That computer will control all settings for Networked Printer(s). All other computers will need to install driver in minimal mode.
Pro: Master computer will have access to properties and cleaning option through Evolis Print Center.
Con: Per Evolis, this can cause communication issues. Other computers will have access to properties without cleaning.
One Master Computer / Minimal Others
Master
All other Computers will be in Minimal mode
Computer Full Standard Install (Not Recommended by Evolis)
Pro: Computers will have access to properties and cleaning via Evolis Print Center
Cons: Cleaning would need o be done by prompting the manual bypass. Per Evolis this can cause communication issues. Master computer must be disabled first before any other computer can take full control. If the user of the computer is not present, the printer cannot be accessed.
Full Install for All
Once you determine which computer will have control of Networked Printer(s), you can enable or disable by right clicking the printer in the Evolis Print Center. The Master Printer will show printer status as “Ready."
