Batch Print: "Failed to Print" Status

Failed to Print

If you encounter the status "Failed to Print", there can be several underlying reasons. Below are potential causes and troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the issue:

1. Failure to Enroll to Third-Party API

  • If the card prints but does not enroll in the third-party system, do not distribute the card.

  • Cards not enrolled in the third-party system must have their data either imported or manually added to the system.

2. Card Ejects Without Printing or Capturing the UID

  • If the card ejects without printing or capturing the UID, this may indicate missing information in the record’s data columns related to the card layout. Verify that all required data fields in the record are filled.

3. Printer not connected or powered on

  • If the printer disconnects or powers off during the print process, ensure the printer is reconnected and powered on before attempting to print again.

4. BIX File is incorrect

  • If the BIX file installed in the printer is incorrect, the enrollment process may fail. Ensure the correct BIX file is installed by contacting your CI Project Manager for assistance.
