Evolis Altess: Manual Cleaning

Clients must manually clean to ensure the Evolis Altess is dust-free and prints quality ID cards.

Required Items: Alcohol Wipes, Alcohol Swab, Masking Tape

1. Turn the printer power off

2. Remove cards and the ribbon from printer

3. Open the top cover > Remove the cleaning roller

4. Press and hold the power button to manually spin the rollers

5. Wipe the rollers with the alcohol wipes

6. Cut 2 inches of masking tape > Fold the top corners inward towards the crease forming a triangle

7. Stick the adhesive side tape on the table

8. Roll the cleaning roller back and forth while holding the end of the tape

9. Set the cleaning roller back in the printer

10. Gently clean the printhead with the alcohol swab

11. Place the ribbon and cards back in the printer > Print a card to ensure printer is functioning and able to print.
