Regular Cleaning

Clients must run a regular cleaning every 1000 prints to ensure the printer remains dust-free and prints quality ID cards. 

Required Items: Adhesive Cleaning Card, Alcohol Swab

1. Open the Evolis Print Center app and double click on your printer to open the Printer Properties

2. Go to Cleaning and select Proceed with Cleaning

3. Select Start Cleaning under Regular Cleaning to open the Evolis Cleaning Wizard

4. Remove the ribbon and cards from the printer. Set the Card Thickness Gauge to max. Close the top cover before you select Next onscreen. 

5. Peel off the film from the Adhesive Cleaning Card. Press the card to your palm 5-10 times.

• The card is very sticky. Pressing it to your palm picks up some oils and makes the card less sticky and less likely to get stuck in the printer. 

6. Place the Adhesive Cleaning Card sticky-side up into the input hopper and select Next onscreen

7. The printer will pull in the card and run through the regular cleaning. Wait for the card to be ejected. 

8. Select Next and Finish on the Cleaning Wizard

9. Open the top cover of the printer and gently wipe down the printhead with the alcohol swab

10. Re-insert the ribbon, re-place the cards, and set the Card Thickness Gauge back to 35 mil
