Modified on Wed, 14 Jan at 3:39 PM

Before configuring Single Sign-On (SSO) with Badge, please confirm the following requirements are met. Completing this checklist ahead of time will help ensure a smooth setup and avoid common issues.

In this checklist, "users" refers to anyone who logs into Badge, including both Owners and Operators.

✔ Administrative Access

  • You have administrator access to Microsoft (Global Administrator)
  • You have Owner access to Badge

✔ Microsoft SSO Scope Confirmation

  • Your organization uses Microsoft accounts for users who will log into Badge
  • You are prepared to manage user access to Badge through Microsoft

✔ User Accounts & Email Addresses

  • All users who will log in via SSO already exist in Badge
  • Each user’s email address in Badge exactly matches their email address in your Identity Provider

Important: Badge uses email address to identify users during SSO login.

✔ Microsoft Admin Consent Readiness

  • A Microsoft administrator is available to sign in and approve adding Badge to your Microsoft organization
  • You understand that Microsoft SSO setup is completed through one-time admin consent, not manual application creation

✔ Access & Security Planning

  • You have reviewed (or plan to review) Microsoft access and session behavior for Badge

✔ Communication Planning

  • You are prepared to notify users before enabling SSO
  • You understand that once SSO is enabled, users must log in using SSO and cannot use their Badge email/password

Ready to Proceed?

If all items above are checked, you’re ready to begin configuring SSO with Badge.
