Overview

Badge v2.10.0 will be released on Oct 15, 2026  @ 4:00 PM PDT. Clients will automatically receive this update – no action is required.

New & Improved

  • Samsara ridership API integration
  • Badge can now provision eligible student and card-identification data to Samsara for configured clients when badges are issued or reissued.
  • Reporting V2 date-range improvements
  • Reporting V2 configuration now places the required Date Range setting before Additional Filters, making the setup flow easier to follow. A new Yesterday date-range option is also available.

Stability & Reliability

  • Fixed an issue where invalid cached printers did not appear in the printer-selection dropdown for New ID Print and Batch Print.
  • Fixed an issue where searching for an administrator could return a server error.
  • Fixed incorrect font colors in legacy templates when no default color was set.
  • API key rotation now preserves existing restrictions, replaces the previous key, and displays the new key.
  • Device Manager improvements — available only to clients participating in the CR‑One pilot program:
    • Tap Events now remembers column-visibility preferences across sessions.
    • Heartbeat views now support pagination, rows-per-page controls, and navigation from heartbeat records. Users can also copy serial numbers and raw payloads.
    • Readers without a ship date are now hidden from the Readers and Tap Events pages for owners and operators.
    • Added reader statuses for Never Seen, Offline, Inactive, and Online, based on ship date, heartbeat, and tap activity.
    • Fixed an issue where status groups on the Readers page automatically collapsed during background refreshes.
    • Expanded the clickable area of reader checkboxes.
    • Installer workflows now require a heartbeat and recent tap activity to confirm reader connectivity, require installation photos, and support photo management for Device Manager users.
    • Reader sidebar search now clears after a selection is opened.
    • Improved mobile usability of the Readers page.
    • Added a Tap Events tab to the reader dialog so users can view reader activity without leaving the dialog.
