We use cookies to try and give you a better experience in Freshdesk.
You can learn more about what kind of cookies we use, why, and how from our Privacy policy. If you hate cookies, or are just on a diet, you can disable them altogether too. Just note that the Freshdesk service is pretty big on some cookies (we love the choco-chip ones), and some portions of Freshdesk may not work properly if you disable cookies.
We’ll also assume you agree to the way we use cookies and are ok with it as described in our Privacy policy, unless you choose to disable them altogether through your browser.
Overview
Badge v1.92.0 will be released on 1/29/2026. Clients will automatically receive this update – no action is required.
New & Improved
ITF Barcode Support
Badge now supports the ITF (Interleaved 2 of 5) barcode format, allowing it to be used in badge layouts where required.
Improved Form Validation and Save Behavior
Several forms across Badge now more clearly indicate when required information is missing and prevent saving until all required fields are completed. This helps reduce errors and ensures changes are intentional.
Improved Password Creation Experience
Password managers such as 1Password and Bitwarden now properly display suggested passwords on the Reset Password page, making it easier to create secure passwords.
Conditional Background Placement (Front / Back / Both)
Conditional backgrounds can now be configured to apply on the front, back, or both sides of a layout.
Stability & Reliability
Improved Error Handling and Diagnostics
Enhancements were made to improve error handling and diagnostic information, helping identify issues more quickly when they occur.
General Stability Improvements
Additional safeguards were added to prevent rare frontend errors and improve overall application reliability.
Secure Share – Add Record Form Resets Properly
Fixed an issue where the Add Record form could retain previously entered values when adding multiple records in Secure Share.
Client User Edit – Campus and Access Values Load Correctly
Fixed an issue where the Campus and Access selections could incorrectly default to “All” when editing a client user, even if specific values were previously saved.
